April 20, 2015 - Evening Update
Two weeks ago today, I heard the words "macular hole" for the first time. Surgery seemed a distant possibility. Now surgery is done, I'm wearing a "gas bubble in eye" bracelet and continuing my face down positioning. Not what we expected, but our family is amazing and has helped me so much! Our friends are incredible and have prayed and supported us through this bump in the road. Six months ago, we didn't see all that was ahead - surgery, chemo, no hair, a blood red eye recovering from surgery - but God is giving us the strength we need for each day. He is faithful when we are fearful, He is strong when we are weak. He can be trusted to carry us when we grow tired on the journey, and I am thankful for His constant presence.
