Sometimes, being face down is much harder than I thought it would be. Sleeping is very hard - trying to find a position where I am comfortably sleeping with my face down - and keeping my face down - has been challenging at times. About 8am today, I found the perfect position and took a four-hour nap! Very needed since last night was sort of rough.
I'm halfway through. Three days since we got home from surgery and three days until the next doctor's appointment.
I think we've had a pretty fun time. Even done a little dancing (without moving my head)!! We have eaten pie, had milk shakes, had some of my favorite snacks, and Kelli is about to make gourmet grilled cheese sandwiches for Tony and me!!
So - sometimes it's hard, sometimes it's easy, halfway finished - what are my conclusions?
You can make this as difficult or as easy as you decide it will be. You can choose joy or choose frustration. The challenges will be the same, the time will be the same - it's all about the atmosphere that you choose to create around you. God is with us and provides comfort and peace - and coping skills - for each situation!
Give thanks to the LORD and proclaim his greatness. Let the whole world know what he has done. Sing to him; yes, sing his praises. Tell everyone about his wonderful deeds. Exult in his holy name; rejoice, you who worship the LORD. Search for the LORD and for his strength; continually seek him. (Psalms 105:1-4 NLT)
I lift up my eyes to the mountains— where does my help come from? My help comes from the Lord, the Maker of heaven and earth. He will not let your foot slip— he who watches over you will not slumber; indeed, he who watches over Israel will neither slumber nor sleep. The Lord watches over you— the Lord is your shade at your right hand; the sun will not harm you by day, nor the moon by night. The Lord will keep you from all harm— he will watch over your life; the Lord will watch over your coming and going both now and forevermore. (Psalm 121:1-8 NIV)
