90 minutes until the eye doctor appointment! And we are praying that the macular hole has closed and the gas bubble in my eye has dissolved enough so I can be face up again!!
Someone asked me this morning how they could pray for me - and while I really do want the gas bubble to be dissolved, that wasn't the first thing that came to mind. In the last week, God has been so near and has brought so much comfort - He has been very real to me. And I have realized that He is ALWAYS that near - it's just that we are so busy with all our "face up" plans that we don't take the time to pay attention to Him. And we are the ones who lose out. You can learn a whole lot when you're face down.
At the point when I am "face up" again, I plan to return to "face down" time on a daily basis. It's a great place to listen to what God is saying to us.
