June 5, 2019 - CTCA Update

UPDATE 1

We arrived a couple of hours ago. Bloodwork done and I’ve had the injection for the scan; it’s about an hour wait (behind a big heavy door!) before they do the imaging. Thanks for praying for us!

UPDATE 2

We got the results tonight on the patient portal. The conclusion on the report was a “mixed response” with growth in some areas and decreases in others. I was believing for decreases across the board but it certainly isn’t terrible. 🙂 I don’t think anything will change in treatment - we’ll know more tomorrow when we see the medical team. And we had a lovely dinner! 

The neatest thing about the day happened during the scan. I was nervous - I’d just gotten my blood work and there were some numbers that were “off” compared to my last visit. All of a sudden, the words to so many worship songs that I’ve been listening to came pouring into my mind. God is so good; His presence was everywhere and nothing about this day has been or will be a surprise to Him.
