May 9, 2019 - CTCA Trip

I flew to Atlanta yesterday and had appointments today. I didn’t have scans or tumor markers but saw several doctors, had blood work done and got an injection to help bones affected by cancer. Tomorrow I have a nerve block. My pal Stephanie McCausland Cole flew in tonight to be my “person” since I’ll be under anesthesia, and we’ll fly home tomorrow night. Poor Stephanie - her flight made it to Atlanta and then they had to divert back to Memphis because of weather! So she had 1 1/2 round trips and LOTS of time on the plane!

Two things I learned today - illustration pictures are below. 😂

1) if you get a haircut at the last minute from someone you don’t know; you may be surprised. The cut is fine - the stylist just missed a little section. 🙂

2) if you wear your mask to the airport, people will give you lots of space. I guess they are afraid I’ll give them something, not that I’m trying to avoid catching something from them. 😷
