May 16, 2019 - Be Still

I woke up a little while ago and couldn’t go back to sleep. My go-to place when that happens is the You Version app. This is what I read tonight. The quote is great but the verses following it are powerful!  🙂 God knows where we are, always.

“To wait, biblically speaking, is not to assume the worst, worry, fret, make demands, or take control. Nor is waiting inactivity. It is a sustained effort to stay focused on God through prayer and belief. To wait is to “rest in the Lord, and wait patiently for Him; . . . not fret.” Psalm 37:7 NKJV).”

“Be still, and know that I am God! I will be honored by every nation. I will be honored throughout the world.” Psalms‬ ‭46:10‬ ‭NLT‬

“Be still in the presence of the Lord, and wait patiently for him to act. Don’t worry about evil people who prosper or fret about their wicked schemes.” Psalms‬ ‭37:7‬ ‭NLT‬‬

“But those who trust in the Lord will find new strength. They will soar high on wings like eagles. They will run and not grow weary. They will walk and not faint.” Isaiah‬ ‭40:31‬ ‭NLT‬‬
