One more radiation in the morning, and we will be headed home for a long weekend!
I have been tired and my joints and muscles ache, I am in my pjs a little earlier every night - but we have had a very fun week. Lots of time to hang out and talk - we don't get to do that often enough, so it's nice! 🙂
I'm definitely slower at reading than I used to be - but this week, I have enjoyed reading the Bible (almost done with the book of John, LF Friends!) and continuing to read "When God Doesn't Fix It". I love this excerpt, dealing with not asking God WHY (which is so easy for us to do) but instead asking HOW. The author so eloquently explains what is hard for me to put into words, but I absolutely agree with what she is saying!
"Man asks why.
Jesus asks how.
Man asks, 'Why did this happen?'
Jesus asks, 'How might my Father's glory be displayed through this situation?'
Jesus asks how.
Man asks, 'Why did this happen?'
Jesus asks, 'How might my Father's glory be displayed through this situation?'
Maybe you're never thought of how God could use what you're going through for His glory. Maybe this is new to you. If so, let me help you get started by giving you a few questions:
How might God use your current trial to glorify Himself?
How might God use your hard circumstances to show you something about Himself?
How might God use your hard circumstances to show you something about yourself?
How might God use your pain for a purpose?
How might God use your current chaos to make you into a man or woman who walks by faith, not by sight?
How might God use your situation to show you that true peace is found only in Him?
How might God use your hard circumstances to show you something about Himself?
How might God use your hard circumstances to show you something about yourself?
How might God use your pain for a purpose?
How might God use your current chaos to make you into a man or woman who walks by faith, not by sight?
How might God use your situation to show you that true peace is found only in Him?
We have to come to the point where we say, 'I don't know why my life looks this way. But I don't have to understand why. It's enough for me to believe that God has a plan and that He has promised He will never leave me or forsake me, and He will be by my side through every trial I face." - Laura Story
