December 4, 2018

Tomorrow is a travel day - headed back to Georgia to see how things are going. I had a great stretch of feeling good, but have had a rough few days. Not my plan - but as I read this devo today, I felt such peace knowing that it’s not up to me to control the future. God can be trusted and his plans are good!
“Control is a big thing for most of us. We can easily slip into the trap of trying to control everything. Because of past hurts, we can go through life trying to control everything as a way of protecting ourselves. We attempt to micromanage, direct, and sway those in our lives. The need to control can cause a sense of panic when we are faced with something that we can’t control. This is an unhealthy place to be. If the need to be in control is controlling you, it is time to make a change. God can help you, but he needs you to be willing to let go.” - Kim Chaffin
“When doubts filled my mind, your comfort gave me renewed hope and cheer.” Psalms‬ ‭94:19‬ ‭NLT‬‬
“Don’t be afraid, for I am with you. Don’t be discouraged, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you. I will hold you up with my victorious right hand.” Isaiah‬ ‭41:10‬ ‭NLT‬‬
