I’m home! And it feels wonderful. š
I will be doing more radiation starting two weeks from Monday. Tony and I will be back in Georgia this coming Monday and Tuesday for several appointments; they will go ahead and do the radiation simulation while I’m there, and then start on the 24th.
The radiation oncologist says they are really pleased with the results and have a couple more areas that would benefit from it in conjunction with the oral meds I’m taking. I am SO GLAD that it is working but I am also ready to be home.
As I was driving today I heard the most amazing song that I had never heard before, but it spoke to my heart. The link to the song is below and these words particularly were what I needed to hear - especially where it says “you can see my pain and it breaks your heart.” Maybe you need to hear them too. We don’t always have to be strong - He will carry us. š
“Here in the middle of the lonely night
Here in the middle of the losing fight
You’re here in the middle of the deep regret
Here when the healing hasn’t happened yet
Here in the middle of the desert place
Here in the middle when I cannot see Your face
Here in the middle with Your outstretched arms
You can see my pain and it breaks Your heart
Here in the middle of the losing fight
You’re here in the middle of the deep regret
Here when the healing hasn’t happened yet
Here in the middle of the desert place
Here in the middle when I cannot see Your face
Here in the middle with Your outstretched arms
You can see my pain and it breaks Your heart
Rejoice, Rejoice
Don’t have to worry bout a single thing
Cause You are overwhelming me with peace
Don’t have to worry bout a single thing
Cause You are overwhelming me with peace
Don’t have to worry bout a single thing
You’re gonna carry us through everything
Overwhelming peace”
You’re gonna carry us through everything
Overwhelming peace”
