Today has been a good day. 🙂 It started out with my doctor’s office in Georgia calling to say that because my labs are so low, they want me to take a two-week break from the medicine I’m on.
At first I felt a little concerned about that - then I started thinking I have two weeks with no treatment!! Enjoy the break!! After doing radiation / injections / oral meds for 10 weeks, a little break will be wonderful. I read this verse and devo tonight and was so thankful for this reminder:
“I will lift up my eyes to the mountains – where does my help come from? My help comes from the LORD, the Maker of heaven and earth.” Psalm 121:1-2 (NIV)
“If I may paraphrase that verse, I believe he is saying to refocus. Quit looking at the problem and how insurmountable it seems and lift up your eyes to the one who created the mountains, the Maker of heaven and earth!” Kerry Shook
God is the one in charge of my days and He guides my steps so there is no need to worry. So bring on the break! Thank you for your prayers for us. We are very blessed.
